Qifrey’s Fateful Words Take #1! Top 3 Most-Commented Scenes from Witch Hat Atelier Episode 1

The ABEMA Anime Official X account has announced the "Top 3 Most-Commented Scenes" from the broadcast of Episode 1, "Magic of the Beginning," of the anime Witch Hat Atelier.

Witch Hat Atelier is based on the fantasy manga by Kamome Shirahama, currently serialized in Morning Two (Kodansha). The story is a high-fantasy masterpiece set in a world where a strict law exists: "Those who cannot use magic must not see the moment it is cast." The narrative begins when Coco, a young girl from a small village who has always yearned to be a witch, happens to witness the magic of a young mage named Qifrey, leading her to discover a "grand secret."

The series gained immense popularity for its intricate world-building and stunningly beautiful artwork, surpassing 7.5 million copies in circulation. It has received high acclaim both domestically and internationally, winning numerous prestigious manga awards worldwide. The TV anime, which premiered in April 2026, features a talented cast including Rena Motomura (as Coco) and Natsuki Hanae (as Qifrey). This high-quality adaptation of a true fantasy classic is currently drawing significant attention from fans.

ABEMA conducted an independent study of the scenes that garnered the most viewer comments during the April 6 (Monday) broadcast of Episode 1. The results were shared on the official X account as the "Witch Hat Atelier Episode 1 Top 3 Most-Commented Scenes."
