The mega-hit mystery novel series Antiquarian Bookshop Biblia's Case Files, which has surpassed a cumulative total of 8.5 million copies in print, has officially been greenlit for a TV anime adaptation set to premiere in 2027.
Based on the mystery novels by En Mikami, the story is set in a quiet corner of Kamakura at the Antiquarian Bookshop Biblia. Here, customers arrive daily, each carrying their own "old books" and "secrets." The shop's owner, Shioriko Shinokawa, is painfully shy—to the point where she can barely speak to people upon first meeting them. However, her passion for books is second to none. Once an old book is in her hands, she begins to speak with a fluid, unending passion as if turning the very pages of a story, unraveling the mysteries and narratives hidden within...
Coinciding with the announcement, an evocative teaser visual was released featuring the protagonist, Shioriko Shinokawa, lost in a book inside her shop. A teaser PV was also unveiled, utilizing footage from the anime to capture the series' unique atmosphere. Furthermore, the main staff and cast have been announced, alongside comments from the original author En Mikami and the rest of the production team.
