10th Anniversary Congratulatory Comments
To celebrate the milestone, comments have arrived from original creator Shūichi Asō, Director Hiroaki Sakurai, and Hiroshi Kamiya, the voice of Kusuo Saiki.

"I watched Saiki!" When I hear that, 95% of the time they're talking about the anime—and that familiar Saiki anime has finally reached its 10th anniversary!! It’s been seven years since the manga ended, but thanks to the anime, I’m still able to put food on the table! Thank you and congratulations!! ...By the way, I feel like we didn't do anything for the manga’s 10th anniversary... What should we do? It’ll be bad if the anime keeps acting like the boss, so should we set off some flashy fireworks of our own? Should I put that out? A sequel. We can't afford to lose! ...Eh? There’s no room for that? Come on, make it work! Just 2 or 3 pages would be fine...!

I thought it was only recently—or maybe just before that—when we were challenging ourselves to see how far we could go with lines without taking a breath, so I'm surprised it’s already been 10 years. Kusuo’s tasteful and sharp retorts are funny no matter how many times I hear (or read) them. The story of Kusuo and his friends made me realize once again the value and importance of ordinary daily life. Also! Having my birthday celebrated at the Reawakened World Premiere is a lifelong memory. Finally, a pose to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.—Aiwass!

In this line of work, I don't often get told "I'm watching your show," but for Kusuo Saiki, I remember a nurse telling me "It’s really funny" while I was on an IV drip. It made me think Jump is amazing, though I also wished she’d said it when I was feeling a bit healthier. That was already about 10 years ago... time flies so fast. Even now, 10 years later, I believe The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. continues to shine with its own unique and extraordinary personality! Congratulations on the 10th anniversary of the anime!
