The anime Daemons of the Shadow Realm is based on the latest manga by Hiromu Arakawa, the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist, currently serialized in Monthly Shonen Gangan. It is an uncanny fantasy story following a young boy named Yuru who, after his home village is attacked, begins to uncover the legends, mysteries, and secrets hidden within the village.
Episode 4: "Jin and Yuru"
[Synopsis]
Yuru shares a secret goal with Right and Left: "Find Asa and have her lead us to our parents." However, so many truths have been kept secret—that Yuru and Asa are the "twins who divide night and day," the powers of "Kai" (Release) and "Fu" (Seal), and the truth about their parents—that Yuru cannot fully trust Dera or Hana. Meanwhile, as Yuru steadily learns the "rules of the lower world," he is provided with a new home. After a brief moment of rest, Yuru and the Daemons Right and Left begin their search, relying on the scent of Asa’s blood.
