Cheat Skill is "Internet"! TV Anime Adaptation of "The World's Strongest Witch" Confirmed, Starring Azusa Tachibana

An anime adaptation of "The World's Strongest Witch" has been confirmed, with the broadcast scheduled to begin this October. Additionally, voice actress Azusa Tachibana has been cast in the lead role of Rona Hermit, and a teaser visual and teaser trailer have been released.

The original work is the highly popular novel series "The World's Strongest Witch: I'm Starting My Free Life in a World Where Only I Can See the Online Strategy Guide'" by Mochimaru Sakaki and riritto (published by SQEX Novel / Square Enix). The manga version is illustrated by Tamaki Toga and is currently being serialized in Kodansha's "Getsumaga Kichi."

Rona is a girl who was expelled after manifesting what was thought to be the weakest skill. However, the true identity of that skill was the SSS-rank cheat skill [Internet], which allows her to freely search "strategy guide sites" and modern knowledge within this world. This work has garnered immense support across generations as a new-style isekai fantasy filled with laughter and tears, featuring an unprecedented setting where Rona uses her ultimate power to adventure across the world, her beloved character as she gets caught in one trouble after another despite wishing to "live normally," and exhilarating battles where she defeats powerful enemies using walkthrough information.

The project will be produced by Bridge/AIL. The staff features a lineup of talented creators who will bring out the best of the original work, including director Jouji Furuta ("SHAMAN KING FLOWERS," "The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments," "Uta no Prince-sama Maji LOVE Legend Star," "Bad Girl," etc.), series compositor Shoji Yonemura ("ONE PIECE," "SHAMAN KING FLOWERS," "Bad Girl," etc.), and character designer Yuki Morimoto ("Boarding School Juliet," "Cardfight!! Vanguard the Movie: Neon Messiah," "Bad Girl," etc.).

The protagonist Rona Hermit will be voiced by Azusa Tachibana, a rising voice actress known for her roles as Yu Yutani in "Bad Girl," as well as in "Princession Orchestra" and "Kaya-chan Isn't Scary." Tachibana’s fresh performance brilliantly captures Rona’s innocent and relentlessly positive personality. She will comically portray Rona’s growth into the world's strongest witch as she unexpectedly masters the internet while simply wishing to "live peacefully and freely."

Following the announcement of the anime adaptation, celebratory comments have arrived from Azusa Tachibana, original author Mochimaru Sakaki, character designer riritto, manga artist Tamaki Toga, and director Jouji Furuta.
