"The Apothecary Diaries" is an anime series based on the light novel of the same name by Hyuganatsu. It gained massive popularity for the mystery drama involving Maomao working as a "poison tester" in the rear palace and her comical interactions with Jinshi. The TV anime has aired up to its second season, with the third season announced to air in two split cours in October 2026 and April 2027. Additionally, the series' first theatrical film is scheduled for release in December 2026.
