The anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," currently available for streaming, is based on the manga of the same name by writer Kanehito Yamada and illustrator Tsukasa Abe, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday." Set in a world "after" the Demon King has been defeated, it tells the story of an elven mage, Frieren (CV: Atsumi Tanezaki), who has lived for over 1,000 years, as she embarks on a "journey to understand people."

It seemed for a moment that they had escaped danger using the flight magic of Frieren and Fern (CV: Kana Ichinose), but then Frieren mutters, "Oh... I might have messed up."
