Translating the beauty and intensity of the original game into animation is a challenge requiring immense resolve. We are constantly experimenting to pursue visual beauty that only animation can express, working alongside the wonderful creators who joined us in this challenge. We will work with all our heart to ensure this resonates deeply with fans of the original work and those experiencing the series for the first time through the anime.

Director Kenichi Kutsuna

In animating the overwhelmingly beautiful SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE, I am gathering every ounce of "beauty" I possess to approach this production. We are crafting a work where both fans of the game and newcomers will find something to take away with them after watching. Please look forward to it.

Tetsushi Suzuki (President & CEO, ARCH Inc.)

In planning this project as a producer, we discussed with the staff how to animate this "story of a lonely master and servant." Though there are two of them, they are lonely—a theme I believe is deeply relevant to us today. On the occasion of this film, Director Kutsuna has established the creator collective Studio Beta, with ARCH participating in its management. I am delighted to deliver this work thanks to FromSoftware, the original creators; KADOKAWA, who oversees the domestic launch; and Crunchyroll, who oversees the international launch, among many others.
