Following that, we asked if he would want to experience middle school life again if he, like Jūzō, could return to that age only in body. Umeda, who described his middle school self as quite "naive," answered, "I'm not confident I could navigate it well if I went back, but I do have a desire to feel that atmosphere again." He then added, "This is a bit of an unexpected answer, though."
"I think I’d like to have a conversation with my middle school self. It’s not that I want to give him advice, but by asking, 'How are you feeling right now?', I might be able to remember my own roots," Umeda said. He concluded the interview by reflecting on his past: "I want to believe that who I am today is because I had those middle school years."
"Kill Blue" features many unique assassins and middle school students, including Jūzō and Kotatsu. Umeda sent a message to fans looking forward to the broadcast: "I believe this is a work that will be a great change of pace if you just relax and let it wash over you. I hope you’ll check it out."
While enjoying the action-comedy elements, it might not be a bad idea for adults to look back fondly on their own middle school days and apply those feelings to the present. Please look forward to future episodes.
