"The quality is insane!" "So much respect for the source material!" Vaundy’s illustration of Daemons of the Shadow Realm creates a buzz on social media

An illustration and message shared on musician Vaundy's official X (formerly Twitter) account have sparked a massive reaction among fans.

Vaundy posted the image with a brief caption: "Thank you" and "It’s still continuing."

The shared image features Yuru (CV: Kenshō Ono), the protagonist of the TV anime Daemons of the Shadow Realm, along with the Daemons he contracted with, Right (CV: Rikiya Koyama) and Left (CV: Takako Honda). Yuru is depicted sitting and covering his left eye with his hand, while behind him, the red-haired, muscular Right and the white-haired Left, with her arms crossed, are drawn with powerful strokes. In the top-left corner, a cute, stylized character is added with a speech bubble saying, "Check out my song too!!" and Vaundy's signature is visible in the bottom-right.

Daemons of the Shadow Realm is based on the manga by Hiromu Arakawa. It is a "new-sensation daemon battle" story following Yuru, a boy raised in a remote mountain village. Following an attack by a sudden armed group, Yuru contracts with the village’s guardian deities, the "Sayu-sama," and descends to the lower world to throw himself into a battle surrounding the village's secrets and his twin sister, Asa (CV: Yume Miyamoto).

Fans have flooded the post with praise for the quality and attention to detail, with comments such as, "Isn't the quality way too high!?", "Yuru covering his left eye shows so much love for the original manga!", "The level of detail is beyond my imagination! Stunning!", and "The 'Check out my song too!!' signature is just too cute."
