The anime "Daemons of the Shadow Realm" is based on the latest manga by Hiromu Arakawa, the creator of "Fullmetal Alchemist," currently serialized in "Monthly Shonen Gangan." It is a supernatural fantasy that follows a young boy named Yuru, who uncovers the lore, mysteries, and secrets hidden within his village after his hometown is suddenly attacked.
Episode 7: “Asa and 'Kai' (The Solution)”
[Synopsis]
The morning after the battle has arrived. Although they manage to make the captured attackers talk, Yuru and the members of the Kagemori family grow increasingly frustrated as they fail to obtain any information that leads to the mastermind. Sensing the harsh days Asa must have endured since leaving the village due to this attack, Yuru asks her about her right eye covered by an eyepatch. Saying, "I don't want to lie to you, Big Brother," Asa begins to recount her past. She reveals that she has died once before, killed by an assassin from the Eastern Village—and Yuru is reminded of the day he was first subjected to human murderous intent.
