—What points did you want to express or focus on the most for this cosplay?
Toki: Actually, I had already cosplayed as Niko-tan a few times before Winter Comiket, but every time I wore the outfit, I found areas I wanted to improve. I've been making modifications to get it as close to her actual outfit as possible. In particular, I tried over and over again with the top to get the sheerness just right!
Also, I made sure to show extra smiles. Personally, I'm not very good at smiling, but I thought hard about how to craft my facial expressions so I could properly represent Niko-tan, who is the resident comedian of FLOW GLOW.
—When and how did you first discover Niko-san, and what do you find most charming about her?
Toki: The trigger was her debut announcement. My first impression was, "I just love her visual design way too much!" (lol). Since then, I've been supporting her as a dedicated Niko-tan stan. Her looks are great, of course, but I also love how her kind nature shines through in her banter with the other group members and her playful interactions with her listeners.
—Are there any cosplays you would like to try in the future?
Toki: I intend to challenge myself with Niko-tan's alternative outfits. I really want to do her New Year's outfit and her concert outfit too! I hope I can continue to express my love for Niko-tan through my cosplay.
