The TOP 3 most-commented scenes during the broadcast of Episodes 5 and 6 of Akane-banashi have been announced on the ABEMA Anime Official X account.

Akane-banashi is based on the rakugo manga by Yūki Suenaga and Takamasa Moue, currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha). The story follows Akane Ōsaki, a young girl who grew up enchanted by her rakugoka father's magical storytelling. Triggered by the events surrounding her father's "Shin'uchi Promotion Exam," she dives into the world of rakugo herself, growing as she aims for the highest rank of "Shin'uchi" in this authentic rakugo story.

The intense drama of the rakugoka who stake their lives on the art of storytelling has sparked a huge conversation, earning high praise as a work that has pioneered a new genre in shonen manga. The TV anime adaptation, which began broadcasting in April 2026, features a star-studded cast including Anna Nagase (as Akane Ōsaki), Takuya Eguchi (as Karashi Nerimaya), Rie Takahashi (as Hikaru Kōragi), and Akihisa Shiono (as Kaisei Arakawa). It has drawn immense attention for bringing the deep world of rakugo and its authentic drama to life through animation.

ABEMA conducted an independent survey of the scenes that generated the highest volume of viewer comments from Episode 5, "The Path Forward," and Episode 6, "The Temple School," of Akane-banashi. These rankings have been published on the ABEMA Anime Official X account as the "Akane-banashi Most-Commented Scenes TOP 3."
