Court Medical Fantasy "The Eccentric Doctor of the Moon Flower Kingdom" To Get TV Anime Adaptation! Rina Hidaka, Takeo Ōtsuka, and More Announced for Main Cast

A TV anime adaptation has been greenlit for "The Eccentric Doctor of the Moon Flower Kingdom," a court medical fantasy manga by Tōru Himuka currently serialized in "ASUKA." Along with this announcement, a teaser visual and a teaser PV have been released, and information on the main staff and cast has been unveiled all at once.

Set in the fictional Moon Flower Kingdom, where treatments using medicinal broths are the mainstream, this work is a slapstick medical comedy that begins with the meeting of Koyō (voiced by Rina Hidaka), a muscle-loving girl with advanced medical skills including suturing surgeries, and Keiun (voiced by Takeo Ōtsuka), the first crown prince.

In addition to Rina Hidaka playing the protagonist Koyō and Takeo Ōtsuka playing Keiun, Taito Ban will voice Koyō's assistant Shingdam, and Shōya Chiba will voice Keiun's attendant Shiei. Studio Elle will handle the animation production.

Furthermore, to commemorate the TV anime adaptation, a celebratory illustration has arrived from the original author, Tōru Himuka. A giveaway campaign has launched on the official X account, where users can win postcards featuring this celebratory illustration.
