"Gachiakuta" Stage Play Opens! Tokyo Final Performance Livestream & Blu-ray Release Confirmed, Comments from Go Ueki and Cast Members Delivered

On May 22, 2026, the stage play "Gachiakuta" finally opened at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Stellar Ball in Tokyo. With the arrival of the opening day, comments from the original creators, director Go Ueki, and the main cast members have arrived. Furthermore, a livestream of the Tokyo final performance to be held on May 31, along with the release of a Blu-ray recording the performance, has also been confirmed.

The original work of this stage play, "Gachiakuta," is a battle action story centering on Rudo, an orphan boy born in a slum where descendants of criminals live. Written and illustrated by Kei Urana, with graffiti design by Hideyoshi Ando, serialization began in Kodansha's "Weekly Shonen Magazine" in February 2022. Since July 2025, the TV anime has been broadcasting and streaming for two consecutive cours, and the production of a second season has also been announced, making the work a huge topic both in Japan and overseas.

This stage play (running from May 22 to June 7, 2026, in Tokyo and Kyoto) has captivated the audience from the moment the curtain rose, blending meticulously crafted direction, art, costumes, and music with the realistic performances of the cast. Packed with breathtaking action scenes and energetic dance performances, the stage offers an immersive experience unique to live theater. After each performance, repeater tickets will be sold at the theater, allowing guests to choose and purchase their seats.

For the Tokyo final performance on May 31, both the 12:00 performance and the 17:00 performance will be livestreamed on the domestic platform "Theater Complex TOWN" and the international platform "ZAIKO." Livestream ticket purchasers will receive a live comment video by the cast after the curtain falls, and archive viewing will also be available. In addition, the release of a Blu-ray containing the performance (scheduled for Winter 2027) has been decided, and advance reservations have begun.
