Cast Comments
Nobunaga Shimazaki
“I am truly happy and honored to be voicing Eumenes in Historie. Usually, I try not to think too strongly about roles beforehand because the disappointment if I don't get the part would be devastating. However, with Eumenes, ever since I read the original manga, I couldn't help but feel a powerful desire that I had to play him. It is an absolute honor to be involved in another work by Hitoshi Iwaaki-sensei. This is without a doubt a wonderful adaptation, so please look forward to it!”
Ryōta Suzuki
“I am Ryōta Suzuki, and I am voicing Hieronymous, the older brother. Living in a BC-era setting, which I wasn't familiar with until now, feels entirely fresh, and I'm approaching the voice recording with a lot of excitement. The plot unfolds in ways that are hard to predict, so please look forward to the broadcast!”
Kazuya Ichijō
“I've played many father roles before, but I think it's rare to find a character where sternness and kindness coexist to this extent. He is the strict pillar of the family... but in family gathering scenes, I accidentally leaned too much into a soft performance and ended up having to do a retake. Also, the scene I was forced to practice every single time was calling out his name: Hieronymous... Gosh, what a tongue-twister!”
Yūko Kaida
“I let my imagination wander into the eternal history of the BC era, reading through this robust story with an excited heart. Even while harboring complex emotions, Telesilla raised Eumenes with deep love. I hope to beautifully convey her inner conflict.”
Wataru Takagi
“Charon shares a deep fate with Eumenes. It was truly enjoyable to portray his complex feelings—supporting Eumenes while holding onto a sense of self-reproach—through my interactions with Nobunaga-kun. I wonder how it will come across to everyone? I hope you all enjoy it.”
Satoshi Tsuruoka
“There was a world there that couldn't be fully understood just with the kind of knowledge taught in history classes. It was a raw atmosphere that I was finally able to grasp through the characters living within the original work. I truly hope you can experience it for yourselves.”
Anri Katsu
“I've always loved Iwaaki-sensei's works, so I was incredibly happy when I heard about the offer to join the cast. Although this is a historical piece, I was deeply drawn to the profound humanity depicted within it. I also found Thrax, whom I voice, immensely fascinating for his almost cruel purity. I hope everyone fully enjoys the world of this series!”
Tsuguo Mogami
“Originally, when I thought of Aristotle, the image of a philosopher came to mind. However, in this work, rather than just a philosopher, he gives off the impression of an astronomer or a physicist—truly the father of all learning, a person who loves 'knowledge.' Since I myself am a huge fan of Historie, I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of it!”
Miki Kariya
“Perialla, whom I play, alternates between joy and sorrow regarding her relationship with Eumenes. I confronted her character with all my might to stay close to her shifting emotions. I would be delighted if you enjoy the series while also paying attention to the changes in Perialla's feelings.”
Seiyū Fujiwara
“When Eumenes is with Nicogenes and the others, he seems more like a normal teenage boy rather than his usual detached self. I approached the recording hoping to play Nicogenes as a comfortable and reassuring presence for Eumenes.”
Junya Enoki
“I was already a fan and had been reading the original manga, and I always felt this series is amazing because it forcefully conveys the characters' psychological states without over-explaining them. I see Tolmides as a good friend to Eumenes and someone who can look at the big picture. Please look forward to the broadcast!”

[Introduction]
The 4th century BC. Eumenes, a young man endowed with rich knowledge and education, meets the great philosopher Aristotle, and together they head for the city-state of Cardia. It is Eumenes' hometown and the place of "beginnings"—. Raised as the second son of a prominent family, Eumenes bloomed with an extraordinary talent from early childhood. Not only was he well-versed in Greek literature, but he also possessed a sharp eye for observation and judgment, earning respect from the surrounding adults despite his youth. However, triggered by a certain incident that occurs in Cardia, Eumenes is forced to confront his own destiny. Voyages, wandering, and new encounters... Here begins the long "odyssey" of Eumenes, who would later become the secretary to Alexander the Great.
