Anime Historie Based on Hitoshi Iwaaki's Manga to Air in January 2027! Second Teaser Visual, First PV, and Cast Information Released

It has been announced that the TV anime Historie, based on the historical epic manga by Hitoshi Iwaaki, will begin broadcasting in January 2027. Along with this announcement, the second teaser visual and the first PV have been released.

This work is an anime adaptation of the comic of the same name, which has surpassed 4.7 million copies in circulation. The newly released second teaser visual prominently features Eumenes holding a map, surrounded by motifs that hold the key to the story. In addition, the first PV, unveiled at the same time, showcases various characters involved in Eumenes' journey so far.

Alongside Nobunaga Shimazaki voicing the protagonist Eumenes, the voice cast including Ryōta Suzuki, Kazuya Ichijō, and Yūko Kaida has been announced, along with character descriptions and comments from the cast.

Character Descriptions

Eumenes (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki)
　A young man who describes himself as a barbarian (barbaroi) and aims for his hometown, Cardia. Not only does he possess deep knowledge and excellent wisdom, but he is also extremely calm and excels at situational judgment. He is also well-versed in the political climate surrounding the Greek world.

Hieronymous (voiced by Ryōta Suzuki)
　Eumenes' older brother. He is constantly compared to Eumenes, who achieves excellent grades.

Telesilla (voiced by Yūko Kaida)
　Eumenes' mother. She loves Eumenes and recognizes his talent.

Hieronymous (The Elder) (voiced by Kazuya Ichijō)
　Eumenes' father and an influential figure in Cardia. He is the first to notice Eumenes' talent.

Charon (voiced by Wataru Takagi)
　A slave who has served the Hieronymous family for many years. He frequently accompanies Eumenes in particular and follows him faithfully.

Hecateus (voiced by Satoshi Tsuruoka)
　The elder Hieronymous' close aide. He recognizes Eumenes' aptitude more than that of his mediocre older brother, Hieronymous.

Perialla (voiced by Miki Kariya)
　A daughter from a wealthy family in Cardia. She is a friend of Eumenes and they have been close since childhood.

Thrax (voiced by Anri Katsu)
　A Scythian slave. He is shackled by his master, who runs a moneylending business, and suffers from abuse.

Nicogenes (voiced by Seiyū Fujiwara)
　A friend who attends the same school as Eumenes. He has a solid build and outstanding reflexes. He acts as a leader-like figure for Eumenes and the other neighborhood kids.

Aristotle (voiced by Tsuguo Mogami)
　A great philosopher representing ancient Greece. While being pursued by the Persian Empire, he meets Eumenes, and together they aim to travel from Asia to Europe.

Tolmides (voiced by Junya Enoki)
　A friend who attends the same school as Eumenes. He has a mature side, such as noticing the relationship between Eumenes and Perialla.
