[Photos/Images] "Uncannily Suited for It" and "That Embarrassed Serious Face Is Great!" — Akihito Abikura's Cross-Dressing Bunny Maid Look Sparks Rave Reviews in "Yowayowa Sensei" 1st

Manga artist Kamio Fukuchi updated his official X account. He shared a special illustration celebrating the birthday of Akihito Abikura, a character from his ongoing manga series "Yowayowa Sensei," which has created a massive buzz online.

The released illustration features Akihito clad in a cross-dressing bunny maid outfit, accompanied by the date May 26 and a cake icon with three lit candles. Wearing a maid uniform adorned with a bunny-ear headdress and a large ribbon around his neck, Akihito flashes double peace signs while blushing with a slightly troubled, serious expression on his face.

In the background, a chibi-style illustration of Hiyori Hiwamura—the series' heroine—is added, showing her rejoicing with her hands clasped together and eyes sparkling, making it a piece that comically expresses their relationship in the story.

In response to this post, fans expressed anticipation for the cross-dressing look to appear in the main anime, leaving comments such as: "The cross-dressing outfit is uncannily suited for him. I wonder if we'll see it in the anime too?" and "I hope to see cross-dressing Akkun in the anime someday."

Furthermore, numerous comments poured in praising his adorableness while celebrating Akihito's rare appearance, such as: "As expected, it suits him so well!", "So cute, happy birthday!", and "That embarrassed serious face is just great!"

"Yowayowa Sensei" is a popular manga series by Fukuchi, serialized in Kodansha's "Weekly Shonen Magazine" and the app "Magazine Pocket." It is a romantic comedy depicting the relationship between Hiyori Hiwamura, an overprotective and "yowayowa" (frail) female teacher who lacks self-confidence, and Akihito Abikura, a high school boy who ends up looking after her out of concern. Hiyori's clumsy yet earnest nature, along with her frustratingly cute daily interactions with Akihito, have garnered immense support from readers.
