Alluring "Finger-Licking"! Fans React to "Bocchi the Rock!" Nijika Ijichi's Birthday Illustration: "She's More of a Bride Than a Mommy"

On the official X account of Aki Hamaji, the manga artist and creator of "Bocchi the Rock!", a newly drawn illustration of Nijika Ijichi (CV: Sayumi Suzushiro) was released along with a message, becoming a major hot topic among fans.

Hamaji posted a single image on her X account along with the text "Congrats Nijika-chan" and hashtags such as "#伊地知虹夏生誕祭" (Nijika Ijichi Birthday Festival), "#伊地知虹夏生誕祭2026", and "#ぼっち・ざ・ろっく".

The released illustration depicts Nijika wearing a tiara on her head and dressed in a gorgeous pink gown. She is wearing a sash that reads "BIRTHDAY GIRL" and elegant long black gloves on both arms. In her right hand, she holds a vibrant pink birthday cake adorned with candles shaped like the numbers "05 29," while she strikes a mischievous, devilish pose with her left index finger pressed to her lips as if licking it. Furthermore, a handwritten-style message at the bottom of the illustration reads, "Happy Birthday Nijika-chan~ Aki Hamaji."

"Bocchi the Rock!" is an anime series based on the hugely popular four-panel manga by Hamaji, currently serialized in Houbunsha's "Manga Time Kirara MAX." The story follows Hitori Gotō, an extremely shy and introverted girl, who joins the band "Kessoku Band" led by Nijika, and grows alongside its unique members. The series has received high acclaim for its realistic coming-of-age story centered around music activities and its authentic band sound.
