"The Apothecary Diaries" Original Novel Exhibition Opens at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse! New Merchandise and Exclusive Bonuses Also Available

The special exhibition "Novel 'The Apothecary Diaries' Original Exhibition: Poisons, Medicines, Science, and Mystery," where visitors can experience the world of the mystery novel series "The Apothecary Diaries," is currently being held at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse from June 5 to June 21.

"The Apothecary Diaries" is a mystery-solving entertainment work based on the novel by Hyuganatsu. Set in the inner court of a fictional imperial nation with a Chinese flair, it depicts the story of Maomao, an apothecary girl who was kidnapped and sold as a servant. Using her innate knowledge of pharmacology and deep insight, she resolves various incidents and troubles within the inner court. Her intelligence catches the eye of Jinshi, a handsome eunuch, and she is eventually selected as a personal poison tester for a high-ranking consort, making this work a massive hit.

This exhibition focuses on the world of the original novels, serving as a special display that deeply delves into the worldview woven by the story written by author Hyuganatsu and the illustrations by Touko Shino. It offers content that allows visitors to enjoy the story of the original novel "The Apothecary Diaries"—colored by poisons, medicines, science, and mystery—more deeply and from every angle on-site.

Following the event held at Space 634 in Tokyo Solamachi in December 2025, the Yokohama venue features additional content. This includes new merchandise such as the first-ever "Official Records" (a playful twist on an official exhibition catalog), new display items related to the short story "The Mysterious Box" written specifically for this exhibition, and commentary from illustrator Touko Shino.
