The collaboration between the movie "Sgt. Frog (movie 2026)," which will be released nationwide on Friday, June 26, and "Mobile Suit Gundam" has been confirmed, and main feature footage and a newly drawn illustration have arrived.

"Sgt. Frog," created by manga artist Mine Yoshizaki and serialized in "Monthly Shonen Ace" since 1999, started its anime broadcast in April 2004. On April 1, 2024, the launch of a new project for the 20th anniversary of the anime adaptation was announced, and the new film "Sgt. Frog (movie 2026)" will be released, marking the first theatrical release in 16 years since 2010.

The screenplay and chief direction for this film are handled by Yuichi Fukuda, known for the movie "Gintama" series and "The Hero Yoshihiko" series. "ano" has been appointed as the promotional captain for the anime's 20th-anniversary project and will perform the theme song "Kashippanashi Destiny." In addition, ano & Soshina will sing the 20th-anniversary version of the opening theme song, "Mata Kaette Kita Kerotto! March." Furthermore, Jesse (SixTONES) will play the roles of the mysterious Keronian brothers, Aruru and Deruru, while Shinobu Hasegawa (Sissonne) will serve as the narrator.

In this collaboration, main feature footage of the scene where Gundam appears before the Keroro Platoon has been released. In the video, an action scene with mysterious invaders is depicted, showing Gundam appearing before the struggling platoon, and Char's Custom Zaku standing in their way.

Along with this, a collaboration illustration by Mine Yoshizaki, the original creator of "Sgt. Frog," and Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, who served as the character designer for "Mobile Suit Gundam," has also been made public. Yoshizaki drew a homage illustration of the "Mobile Suit Gundam Theatrical Trilogy," while Yasuhiko drew a new illustration of Amuro, Char, and Keroro crossing their arms.

Furthermore, the release of plastic models commemorating the collaboration has been confirmed: "Keroro Robo Mk-II (Titans Color)" (2,200 yen tax incl., releasing on June 26) and the Premium Bandai exclusive "RG 1/144 RX-178 Gundam Mk-II (Keroro Custom)." Starting Friday, June 26, theatrical merchandise such as pamphlets and stickers will be sold at participating theaters, excluding some locations.
