The advance screening event for Episodes 1 and 2 of the TV anime Dara-san of Reiwa, titled Dara-san of Reiwa Episode 1 & 2 Advance Screening Event: Is This Really Okay in the Reiwa Era?! Ver., which is scheduled to begin broadcasting on Thursday, July 2, 2026, was held at United Cinemas Toyosu on Sunday, June 7.
This work is a popular comic by Haruomi Tomotsuka, currently serialized in Kadocomi (KADOKAWA). The story follows Hinata and Kaoru, siblings of the Misogiya family who step into a "taboo land" that has been strictly forbidden to enter. There, they encounter Yamatagimadara, a cursed deity with a giant serpentine body. However, instead of fearing the apparition, the two affectionately call her "Dara-san" and deepen their interaction.
Taking the stage for the talk show were Mutsumi Tamura as Dara-san, Minami Tsuda as Hinata Misogiya, and Momoka Terasawa as Kaoru Misogiya. Welcomed with loud applause, after the three finished their greetings, official cosplayer Kei Fubuki appeared at the call of Tamura. Clad in Dara-san's shrine maiden outfit, Fubuki received a massive round of applause.
The talk started with a look back at Episodes 1 and 2. Tsuda and Terasawa confessed that, above all, the "Kansai dialect" was the hardest part. Terasawa said, "I focused so much on having to speak the Kansai dialect properly that there were times when our back-and-forth interaction didn't go smoothly," and Tsuda also murmured, "It's difficult to think about the intonation while reading the script."
Tamura said she spoke mostly in standard Japanese, but there were parts where she sounded slightly like she was using the Kansai dialect. Just like the other two, she emphasized, "Suddenly, I wouldn't know what I was saying!" On the other hand, Fubuki, who is from Osaka, said, "When it broadcasts, I want to check it here and there," making the cast members exclaim, "That's scary!" as they trembled with fear.
