Is "Re:ZERO" Turning Into a Pure Horror?! Episode 76 "Murder Becomes a Habit" Sparks Massive Reactions for Its First-Ever Subtitle Direction: "It Gave Me Chills" "Absolutely God-Tier"

Episode 76 of the anime "Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-" 4th Season has been broadcasting sequentially since June 10. The "series-first direction" when the subtitle is displayed at the very end of the main episode has sparked massive reactions, with viewers commenting, "That subtitle drop felt like straight horror..." and "It's seriously god-tier."

With heavy developments continuing in the 4th Season of "Re:ZERO," including the group being wiped out due to internal strife and the protagonist Subaru Natsuki (CV: Yūsuke Kobayashi) suffering from amnesia, the plot thickens. In the latest installment, Episode 76 "Murder Becomes a Habit," Subaru reads the "Book of the Dead" labeled Meili Portroute, causing his memories to fuse with those of Meili (CV: Eri Suzuki).

The Book of the Dead recorded Meili’s final moments of being strangled by Subaru. After learning this shocking truth, Subaru, whose mental state was already unstable, begins to see hallucinations of Meili.

While Subaru is with Beatrice (CV: Satomi Arai), Meili's hallucination taunts him, saying, "Doesn't it look like it would snap if you just put a little strength into it? If you slammed it onto the floor, it seems like it would die so easily." The hallucination also asks him, "Did you know that murder can become a habit?"

Then, near the end of the episode, Ram (CV: Rie Murakawa) notices "something" about Subaru—. As a shaken Subaru mutters, "Murder is...", Meili’s cheerful voice chimes in, "...a habit," and the subtitle "Murder Becomes a Habit" fills the screen.
