"Sparks of Tomorrow" Comments

[Hiroshi Yanaka as Jinemon Momokawa]

Jinemon Momokawa... "Love" for his family, "heart" for sake brewing, the "heavy responsibility" as the head of the house... and "conflict." A person harboring intertwining feelings... And the era and world view of this work, which is neither Meiji, Taisho, nor Showa... Now, what should I do... While borrowing the strength of the staff and fellow cast members, I made sure to cherish the lines and play the role confidently, following my heart! Everyone, please look forward to it!!

[Mayumi Asano as Naeko Momokawa]

How are you doing! Did you know the traditional character for energy, '氣', actually contains the character for rice, '米'? And speaking of rice, that means sake—and Naeko-san. This is the first time I'm playing the kind of Meiji-era woman I've always admired. Spending the life I've been given down to the very last drop. "Naeko-san is so cool. I want to get even a little closer to her..." Well, it's finally about to start! Please enjoy the detailed visual beauty as well.

[Daichi Endō as Bunshichi Yagura]

I took a great deal of care when taking on the role of Bunshichi Yagura. As I'm sure is the case for the rest of the cast, both the historical background and original settings feature depictions and atmospheres that could be interpreted as either modern or contemporary, drawn with extreme delicacy. In particular, Bunshichi possesses a traditional mindset that is completely removed from electricity. I kept in mind that even a single sentence ending, the attack of a line, or a reaction could ruin the worldview, and performed accordingly. I am truly honored to be involved in such a wonderful work. I hope everyone will take their time to enjoy every single detail!

[Ayahi Takagaki as Tome]

I'm Ayahi Takagaki, playing Tome. When I heard it was the role of a "live-in maid," I arbitrarily imagined a middle-aged woman, so I was shocked when I saw the setting designs! At the same time, I was extremely honored and happy. When Sound Director Tsuruoka told me, "When I asked the director about his image of Tome, I thought of Takagaki," I decided to do my absolute best to take on the role. Director Ota's innovative way of creating works feels just like witnessing an invention firsthand... Every week, my heart was filled with excitement during recording! You should definitely check it out too! Along with Tome, who has watched over the Momokawa family for many years, please witness the youth pursuing their precious dreams.

[Ayahi Takagaki as Inari]

I'm Ayahi Takagaki, playing Inari! I can finally say it! Looking at Inari's photos and the distributed calendars on the official X account, I was itching to say it sooner! This is my first time playing a stoat, so researching their ecology, exploring how to use my vocal cords, and searching for expressions was a very fun time. This work has given me passion and hope in many ways. Inari is always on Inako's side. Please don't miss what Inari is doing by her side, or sometimes in the corner of the screen! As a side note, I had already made a brief voice appearance in the 2nd PV as a character who is neither Tome nor Inari. Do you know where it was?
