Anime "Kagurabachi" Kunishige Rokuhira, Father of Chihiro, to be Voiced by Tomokazu Seki; Character PV Released as He Discusses Its Appeal: "It’s Simply a Truly Passionate Work" [Comments Included]

It has been announced that Tomokazu Seki will voice Kunishige Rokuhira, the father of the protagonist Chihiro Rokuhira, in the TV anime "Kagurabachi," which is scheduled to begin broadcasting in April 2027. Along with the announcement, a character visual and a character PV have been unveiled.

"Kagurabachi" is a manga series by Takeru Hokazono, currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump." It depicts the story of Chihiro Rokuhira, a young boy whose father and ordinary life are stripped away by a sudden attack from a mysterious organization of sorcerers called "Hishaku." Armed with "Enten," an enchanted sword left behind by his father, he embarks on a path of revenge. The animation production will be handled by Cypic.

Kunishige Rokuhira, whose cast member was announced this time, is Chihiro's father and a master swordsmith who was the only one capable of forging enchanted swords with immense power. He is a character who lost his life during the attack three years ago.

Seki, who plays Kunishige Rokuhira, reflected on his first impression of the work, saying, "Not only is the action powerful, but emotions like determination, loss, and revenge are also deeply depicted, drawing me in immediately." Looking ahead to the voice recording, he commented, "I hope people will enjoy the bright and fun comedic moments of daily life, while feeling the weight behind every single line when he speaks about his convictions as a swordsmith."
