Ahead of its nationwide release on Friday, June 26th, highly anticipated footage from the upcoming film "Sgt. Frog (movie 2026)" has been newly unveiled to the public.
This film was produced as part of the 20th-anniversary project for the anime "Sgt. Frog," based on the hit manga by Mine Yoshizaki, which has been serialized in "Monthly Shōnen Ace" (published by KADOKAWA CORPORATION) since 1999. It marks the first theatrical film for the franchise in 16 years since 2010. Director Yuichi Fukuda—one of the comedy industry's premier hitmakers, well-known for the live-action "Gintama" film series—has taken on the roles of screenwriter and supervising director, tackling his very first animated project.
