I had the honor of handling the opening song for "Daemons of the Shadow Realm."
It is a new song titled "back shot." It is a piece I wrote quietly around the theme of "the hidden side of humanity"—the distrust and the hypocrisy I have felt throughout my life. The pure heart with which Yuru cares for the people dear to him, and the outsiders who try to take advantage of it. Just who in this world are we supposed to trust in order to live? I hope you'll listen to it alongside this wonderful anime, holding all kinds of emotions.

It doesn't matter anymore.
I can't help but pray for an uncertain hope that keeps wavering.
I just want you to stay alive.
I sang it with that kind of complex yet utterly straightforward obsession.
It was a work I myself had loved and followed long before I was offered this job, so reading the letter that arrived from Otoda and listening to the song, I got to record it feeling as if I were having my own private "Daemons of the Shadow Realm" discussion. It was truly so much fun!
