The popular light novel "Witch and Hound" is officially set to receive a TV anime adaptation. Along with this announcement, a teaser PV and a teaser visual have been unveiled.

"The trump card was a 'witch'—." This work is based on the long-form dark fantasy novel "Witch and Hound" written by Kamitsuki Rainy (published by Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko).

The newly released teaser PV offers a first look at the gripping action scenes between Teresalisa, the "Mirror Witch" who graces the cover of the novel's first volume, and the protagonist, Roro. The spark-flying, acrobatic footage delivers a finish that foreshadows the sheer intensity of the upcoming story.

As for the staff, Takanori Tsujimoto—who has crossed genres to work on the front lines, directing the live-action "Ultraman" series and the anime movie "Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-," among others—has been appointed as director. Joining him is Kengo Saito of the animation studio Yostar Pictures, who has supported numerous popular titles as character designer, bringing together a stellar lineup of creators. Anticipation is high for the broadcast to see how the beautiful characters created by LAM, the popular illustrator behind the original designs, will come to life in the animation.

Furthermore, the original author, Kamitsuki Rainy, is directly participating in the series composition. While honoring the grand worldview of the original work, dynamic elements unique to video media have been incorporated. With beautiful yet intense animation produced by the up-and-coming animation studio TriF Studio, and a tag-team effort between the industry's top runners and the original creator, all eyes are on the future of this project to see what kind of surprise and emotion this newly set-in-motion story will bring.
