[Photos/Images] Any Place Name Ending in "ura" Becomes a Guillotine... Fans React to the Official "Tsuchiura the Guillotine" Post of "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" Saying "Only 'ura' Matches lol" 1st

The official X account for the original manga of "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" posted a photo of a Frieren plushie wearing an Aura hat, titled "Tsuchiura the Guillotine," which has drawn a flood of witty replies from fans.

In the released photo, a Frieren plushie wearing a pink cap embroidered with the word "Aura" stands against a backdrop of a blue road sign. On the official X account, posts mimicking "Aura the Guillotine" have been made previously by putting this "Aura" hat on the plushie to match place names ending in "dai" (meaning hill/plateau, mirroring Aura's Japanese title "Dantōdai no Aura"). However, this time, the place name "Tsuchiura" was used instead. Shifting away from the previous rule, it has become a surreal post where the only commonality is the sound "ura."

"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a manga series written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. Serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday," it has received high acclaim, including winning the Grand Prize at the "Manga Taisho 2021." The story is an afterword-fantasy depicting the aftermath of the hero's party who defeated the Demon King. Prompted by the death of the hero Himmel, Frieren, an elven mage who has lived for over a thousand years, embarks on a journey to learn about humans. The manga meticulously depicts unique psychological descriptions, its world-view, and her journey with new companions.

In response to this unique post, fans left bewildered yet amused comments such as, "Tsuchiura... Aura... only 'ura' matches..." and "Only 'ura' matches lol." Other fans chimed in with Aura fan art, joking, "Does this mean any place name with 'ura' in it is going to become a guillotine?" Furthermore, overlapping the image of Frieren traveling around various regions, warm and humorous voices gathered, saying, "It's starting to look like a travelogue of the country," and "It's extremely hot during your journey, so please take care of yourself."
