A "baton-touch" collaboration illustration transitioning from the anime "The Ramparts of Ice" to the anime "You and I Are Polar Opposites" has been released. Additionally, broadcasting details and a teaser visual for Season 2 of the anime "The Ramparts of Ice" have been unveiled.
"The Ramparts of Ice" is based on the manga by Koucha Agasawa (published by Shueisha Jump Comics). It depicts a frustratingly relatable, intertwined youth story centering on Koyuki Hikawa, a high school student who is bad at interacting with people and builds walls between herself and others, alongside Minato Amamiya, a boy who keeps zero distance from others.
"You and I Are Polar Opposites" is based on the romantic comedy manga by Koucha Agasawa, which was serialized on Shueisha's "Shonen Jump+". The story follows Suzuki, an energetic girl who secretly worries about what others think, and Tani, a quiet boy who clearly states his opinions. The series beautifully depicts these two "polar opposites" slowly deepening their understanding of each other with mutual respect, alongside their everyday school life with friends.
Commemorating the back-to-back broadcasts of Koucha Agasawa's anime adaptations in 2026, a collaboration project titled "Koucha Agasawa Anime Year" is being rolled out.
The TV anime "The Ramparts of Ice" began airing in April and concluded its first season on July 2, simultaneously announcing that Season 2 will premiere in October. To mark the transition to the TV anime "You and I Are Polar Opposites," which starts its second season on July 5, a special illustration has been released, capturing the spirit of a "baton-touch" from one protagonist, Koyuki, to the other, Suzuki.
A previous baton-touch illustration from Suzuki to Koyuki was released during the timing of the conclusion of "You and I Are Polar Opposites" Season 1 and the premiere of "The Ramparts of Ice" Season 1. The newly released visual marks the second installment of this illustration series.
Season 2 of the TV anime "You and I Are Polar Opposites" will air every Sunday at 5:00 PM starting July 5 across 28 MBS/TBS-affiliated networks nationwide. It will also stream every Sunday at 5:30 PM on ABEMA and Prime Video.
