The TV anime Magical Buffs: The Support Caster Is Stronger Than He Realized! has revealed its broadcast details. A first PV packed with new animation footage has also been unveiled, along with new characters voiced by Akeno Watanabe, Masaaki Mizunaka, and Wakana Kuramochi, plus comments from the cast.

Magical Buffs: The Support Caster Is Stronger Than He Realized! is a fantasy series centered on Wim Strauss, a buffer who casts enhancement magic on weapons, gear, and other targets to support his allies. Despite handling everything from party support to odd jobs, Wim is cast out of his party for an unreasonable reason. But a chance reunion with his childhood friend Heidemarie brings his true worth to light, and he is welcomed into the region's leading adventuring party. It is an exhilarating reversal-of-fortune fantasy in which a buffer once dismissed as a mere errand boy awakens to a power even he never knew he had, astonishing the world around him.

The TV anime has been confirmed to air from January 2027 on TOKYO MX, MBS, BS11, and roughly 20 other stations nationwide, as well as stream on Netflix and other platforms.

The newly released PV offers the first look at Wim and the story's other richly drawn characters. Packed with moments that convey the bonds between allies, breathtaking action, and the sweeping visuals unique to its fantasy setting, it builds anticipation for the adventure the series has in store.

Three new characters and their cast have also been revealed. Akeno Watanabe voices Camilla, leader of Nakiribera, the leading party Heidemarie belongs to; Masaaki Mizunaka voices Chronos, leader of Drachenflug, the elite, small party Wim once belonged to; and Wakana Kuramochi voices Rita Heinkes, leader of the Adventurers Guild's own investigation team. Comments from all three have also arrived.
