Camilla — Akeno Watanabe Comment
Q1. What do you find appealing about this series?
The premise that the protagonist is secretly the strongest is thrilling on its own, but my first impression was more like: what is going on inside this boy Wim? There is something murky, almost dark, weighing on him — what is he carrying?
Of course the members of Nakiribera are wonderful, but even the characters outside the parties and outside the adventurers feel vividly alive. Every character is lovable, and I found myself thinking there are so, so many characters worth watching.
Q2. What is your impression of Camilla, and what is your approach to playing her?
Camilla is, above all, dignified. I tried to play her as someone who holds Nakiribera together and who everyone can look to as a guidepost and a banner, no matter the situation, while letting her more endearing side shine through as much as possible when it appears. I feel fortunate to play someone I genuinely respect as a person.
I am always thinking about how to bring out the various conflicts inside Camilla, and the way her thinking and feelings shift through her interactions with Wim. She is a wonderfully rewarding character to voice.
Chronos — Masaaki Mizunaka Comment
Q1. What do you find appealing about this series?
It is fascinating that the protagonist is centered around buff magic and has such a gloomy, self-deprecating personality. Underneath that is an unfathomable eeriness to Wim, and I found myself completely hooked on what happens to him next. There are plenty of other compelling characters, but Wim's presence really carries the show.
Q2. What is your impression of Chronos, and what is your approach to playing him?
Since his words and attitude toward Wim are pretty aggressive, my honest first impression of Chronos was: this guy is way too much (laughs).
Even so, he is an essential, compelling character for this story. I put everything I could into capturing who he is and gave it my all with my voice. I hope everyone looks forward to it!
Rita Heinkes — Wakana Kuramochi Comment
Q1. What do you find appealing about this series?
I felt this was a series that touches not only on people's selfishness and coldness, but also their warmth. Even when someone is treated unfairly, there is often someone out there watching over them, supporting them, or noticing their effort and existence. What stayed with me was watching Wim gradually find his place through these bonds and moments of warmth with others.
Q2. What is your impression of Rita Heinkes, and what is your approach to playing her?
She has a strong curiosity for the unknown, and the way her eyes light up when she is absorbed in research or has just made a new discovery left a real impression on me. When she talks about something she loves, she becomes quite talkative, and I think what makes her so charming is that mix of intelligence with an innocent, almost childlike side.
I feel very happy and honored to have had the chance to play such a curious, endearing character.
