Lady Tamanyo is So Cute! The Demons' Deformed Chibi Looks with Cat Ears Released for the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Namjatown Collaboration Spark Hot Topic

On the official X account for the anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," a collaboration with the indoor theme park Namjatown was announced. Along with the announcement, images of the characters wearing cat ears have been released, making a huge splash on social media.

According to the posted details, an event titled "Anime 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba' -The Demons' Dwelling District-" featuring demons will be held at Namjatown. The event will run from August 21 (Fri) to October 4 (Sun) at Namjatown in Tokyo, and from October 30 (Fri) to November 23 (Mon/Holiday) at Bandai Namco Cross Store Hakata in Fukuoka. Further details will be released at a later date.

The released image features the "Demon" characters—the antagonistic force in the series—drawn in adorable chibi illustrations complete with cat ears and cat tails. The lineup includes Upper Rank Demons such as Akaza (CV: Akira Ishida), Kaigaku (CV: Yoshimasa Hosoya), Gyutaro (CV: Ryōta Ōsaka), and Daki (CV: Miyuki Sawashiro), as well as Rui (CV: Kōki Uchiyama), Enmu (CV: Daisuke Hirakawa), and even Tamayo (CV: Maaya Sakamoto) and Yushiro (CV: Daiki Yamashita). In a complete departure from their usual terrifying appearances, they are depicted striking cat-like poses or blushing with embarrassment.

The anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is a mega-hit series based on the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotouge. Set in Japan during the Taisho era, it follows the story of the protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado (CV: Natsuki Hanae), whose family is slaughtered by demons. To turn his sister Nezuko Kamado (CV: Akari Kitō), who has transformed into a demon, back into a human, he joins the "Demon Slayer Corps" and throws himself into numerous life-or-death battles. The series has garnered immense support from a wide range of audiences for its breathtaking visual beauty and powerful action scenes produced by ufotable.
