Sasaki (CV: Takuya Sato), a middle-aged corporate drone running on the corporate track, found a secret source of comfort in Yamada, a clerk with a wonderful smile and polite customer service who works at his regular supermarket. However, in Episode 1, "Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You," when Sasaki, whose clock-out time was delayed, went to the supermarket, Yamada was nowhere to be seen at the cash register.
