On the official X account of the TV anime 'My Dress-Up Darling,' the decision to hold a collaboration event with JR Central, titled 'JR Central × TV Anime My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 -My Dress-Up Darling Goes on a Journey-,' along with the event's key visual, has been announced, creating a huge buzz among fans.
The event is scheduled to run from July 31 to September 27. Further details, including collaboration merchandise, are set to be announced in future updates.
The revealed visual features Wakana Gojo (voiced by Shoya Ishige) and Marin Kitagawa (voiced by Hina Suguta) dressed in JR Central conductor-style uniforms. Gojo stands at attention with a solemn salute, while Marin sports a conductor's cap over her hair styled into thick braids, striking an energetic pose. Above them, the visual features a row of the characters showing off various expressions, giving the whole piece a fun, upbeat look that captures the excitement of travel.
My Dress-Up Darling is based on the popular manga by Shinichi Fukuda. The story follows Gojo, a high school boy aiming to become a master craftsman of hina doll heads, and his classmate Marin, a gal who loves cosplay, as the two grow closer while working together on cosplay costumes in this coming-of-age romantic comedy. Season 1 aired in 2022 and Season 2 in 2025, both earning high praise at home and abroad, and this latest collaboration ties in with the widely beloved Season 2.
The post drew an outpouring of praise from fans, with comments like, "Yes, this is exactly it! Not leaning into fan service with Marin, just wholesome stuff like this. And I love that Gojo gets just as much spotlight!", "Wait... this is amazing! Conductor Gojo looks so cool, now I want to go to Nagoya!!", and "Marin's thick braids are everything!!" Fans couldn't stop gushing over the two of them in uniform together, Marin's fresh new hairstyle, and the overall direction of the collaboration.
