Smartphone App 'Chii Poke' Holds 'Mermaid Island' Event From July 24 to Celebrate Movie Release; New Hachiware Costume via Login Bonus

The smartphone game app Chiikawa Pocket (hereafter, 'Chii Poke') will hold a 'Mermaid Island' event from July 24, letting players enjoy the world of Chiikawa the Movie: The Secret of Mermaid Island, along with the release of a new costume to accompany it. A campaign celebrating the event will also be held on Chii Poke's official X account.

The game is based on Chiikawa, the popular manga series that illustrator Nagano posts on X, and is a smartphone game app packed with activities that let players experience the world of Chiikawa, under the concept of "always being together with the Chiikawa characters, anytime, anywhere." It has been available in 43 countries and regions worldwide since March 27, 2025.

"Mermaid Island" Event Begins & New Costume Added

In this "Mermaid Island" event, players can earn rewards such as 5,000 Little Candies by clearing event missions, with some reward quantities boosted to 100 times the usual amount. Progressing through the event's monster hunts also unlocks the "Welcome to the Island Flag," featuring Hitoha and Futaba, while a Siren is set to appear in the challenge hunts.

In addition, players can obtain Hachiware's "Mermaid Island" costume as a special login bonus on the second day of logging in.

A campaign titled the "Chii Poke Tag Challenge" will be held to celebrate the arrival of the Mermaid Island costume. Successfully completing the challenge earns a serial code redeemable for 10 Mysterious Branches. Additionally, participants who join the campaign and share it on X will be entered into a lottery for a chance to win one of 50 "Chii Poke Clear Posters."
