"Say You To Yo Asobi Monday" episode 8 aired on ABEMA at 10 p.m. on Monday, June 22. The episode featured segments including "The Hiroki-Enoki Gourmet Bet!," in which the duo tries to predict the results of a viewer survey to win high-end gourmet food, and "The Hiroki-Enoki Buddy Challenge," in which the two team up to tackle a mission.
Yasumoto & Enoki at the Mercy of Nobuhiko Okamoto's "Upside-Down Trap"
At the top of the show, Enoki discovered that his own poster on the studio wall had been hung upside down. When the two pressed the staff for an explanation, they got this confession: Okamoto had turned it upside down because he was looking forward to watching Yoko Hikasa notice the crooked poster and straighten it out. Reacting to this, the pair joked, "If we touch Nobu's photo, he'll probably monetize it somehow, so let's just leave it alone," and "We're not falling for it!" Yasumoto added, "This show is cursed by Okamoto," and "Mondays get wrecked by Okamoto," before the two decided to let the matter drop.
Pudding "Vacuum-Eating," "Socially Conscious Cat Ears," and a Giant Heart from Two Grown Men
The first half of the show featured "The Hiroki-Enoki Gourmet Bet!," in which the duo tries to predict the majority answer in a viewer survey — get it right, and they win "Koou," a premium cherry that sells for 2,000 yen per 100 grams.
For question one — "Feeding each other pudding: which would viewers rather see? (A: Yasumoto feeds Enoki / B: Enoki feeds Yasumoto)" — the pair predicted B. When they tried it out, Enoki inhaled the pudding with such force that Yasumoto remarked, "That looked just like Kirby," but in a painful blunder, the camera completely missed the key moment. Still, their prediction was spot on, and after winning the premium "Koou" cherries, the two raved, "These are so good!" and "So sweet!"
For question two — "Matching headgear: which would viewers rather see? (A: Cat ears B: Octopus)" — the pair predicted A, the cat ears. Enoki put on a pair of black cat ears himself, only to self-deprecatingly comment, "What is this cat? There's something unsettling about these pleading eyes," and "It looks like it has some kind of grudge against society," which prompted Yasumoto to tease him further with, "A socially conscious face?" The mood turned a bit tense — and sure enough, the prediction was wrong, meaning the punishment was eating the cheap candy "cherry mochi." Enoki, still wearing the cat ears, cutely played it up with, "It's delicious, nya~." Yasumoto could only shake his head at this, saying, "You have no shame," but Enoki declared, "I've got a soul devoted to cherries," showing his relentless drive to win the premium cherries.
For question three — "Which toy would viewers rather see Hiroki-Enoki play with? (A: Guard Dog Gao Gao B: Pop-up Pirate)" — the two played rock-paper-scissors to decide who would call the prediction. Yasumoto busted out the "Namikawa-style rock-paper-scissors," a move he picked up from Daisuke Namikawa. It involves holding the rock pose for an oddly long time during the "Rock, paper—" opening chant, and Enoki cracked up, saying, "Wait, he was still doing rock this whole time?" and "That's so old-school." Despite grumbling, "This is such a hassle!" at the bizarrely drawn-out "Rock, paper—" pause and the painfully slow tempo of the tie-breaker "Once more, shoot," Enoki won the match and predicted B, "Pop-up Pirate."
When they actually played Pop-up Pirate in the studio, the pirate popped up so weakly that Enoki said, "In my head I imagined it going pop! and cracking the monitor," summing up just how underwhelming the result was. Neither of them looked surprised at all, reacting flatly with, "So low!" and "It didn't even fly." But as it turned out, viewers actually wanted to see A, "Guard Dog Gao Gao," making it another wrong guess — leading Yasumoto to lament, "I don't trust you anymore," in a surprising turn of events.
For the final question — "Striking a pose together: which would viewers rather see? (A: Giant heart B: Gal peace sign)" — Yasumoto reasoned, "You don't usually see the giant heart, so wouldn't people want to see that?" and predicted A. Watching two grown men form a giant heart together made for a surreal moment, with Yasumoto commenting, "My shoulders are stretched out," and Enoki adding, "That was a good stretch." But the prediction turned out to be right on the money. Thanks to the staff's generosity, they walked away with three whole premium cherries, wrapping up the segment with rave reviews of "This is seriously so good!" and "I could eat these forever."
