"Where is the timeline where I can see this?" Fans moved to tears as special bonus art board of two happy characters holding hands from anime Nippon Sangoku The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun is revealed

On the official X account for the anime Nippon Sangoku The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun, an image of a newly drawn bonus art board for the completely limited-edition Blu-ray and DVD BOX was released. The illustration featuring Aoteru Misumi (CV: Kenshō Ono) and Saki Higashimachi (CV: Asami Seto) holding hands drawn passionate responses from many fans.

In the center of the released image, a large pink series logo is placed, in front of which the two characters are depicted walking hand-in-hand while dressed in casual modern attire. Aoteru holds a book titled "Ehime Gourmet" in his right hand, making eye contact and smiling with Saki, who carries a backpack. Pink petals flutter around them, capturing a peaceful, happy scene from everyday life that stands in stark contrast to the tense atmosphere of the main story.

Nippon Sangoku The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun, whose first anime season began broadcasting in April 2026, is a talked-about work based on the manga of the same name by Ikka Matsuki. Serialized since 2021 on Shogakukan's app "Manga ONE" and website "Ura Sunday," the comic series currently published up to Volume 7 has surpassed a cumulative circulation of over 2 million copies. Set in a near-future Japan where civilization collapsed due to revolutions triggered by nuclear war, natural disasters, and misrule, the story follows local official Aoteru—a genius strategist who rises in the world using knowledge and eloquence as his weapons to achieve the "reunification of Japan."
