▼Introduction
Terrence is a boy who has been tormented by a fear of fire ever since his mother died in a house fire. That fear followed him even into sleep, turning into nightmares night after night. But one night, in the middle of a nightmare, Terrence realizes that he is dreaming, and at last overcomes his fear of fire. In that instant, he awakens as a "Dreamer" — one who can travel through the dream world known as "dreamland." "dreamland" is another world born from people's dreams and nightmares. Carrying the weight of reality and dreams, love and friendship, and his feelings for his late mother, Terrence's adventure begins now that he has gained the power to control fire.

I still can't quite believe that "dreamland" is being made into an anime and will air in Japan. I'm truly looking forward to sharing a glimpse of French high school life with audiences in Japan through this story. This work holds a very special place in my heart, and having it reach all the way to Japan is an incredible honor. I hope viewers enjoy the anime just as much as I enjoyed drawing the manga.

I grew up watching Japanese anime that defined the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. I never dreamed that a series of my own would one day air in Japan — a country that shaped my imagination back then and continues to do so now. I hope audiences in Japan enjoy this project, where Reno's distinctly French sensibility and the wild, dreamlike world of "dreamland" come to life anew through the language and craft unique to Japanese animation.
