Reactions gather over Anya swooning from the heat: "Anya is melting" in "SPY x FAMILY" announcement illustration

Manga artist Tatsuya Endo updated his X account, posting an illustration of Anya Forger melting from the heat alongside an update notification for Chapter 138 of "SPY x FAMILY." The image depicting her collapsed helplessly in the severe heatwave is drawing attention.

In the published photo, against a reddish background, Anya wearing a tank top and shorts is collapsed on the floor while an oscillating electric fan blows air. Depicted as if sweating profusely all over her body with her outline melting away, she shows an expression with her eyes rolled back and mouth agape. Furthermore, at her hand falls what appears to be an popsicle stick reading "Dud," portraying a harsh situation where intense heat and disappointment overlap.

"SPY x FAMILY" is a work currently serialized on Shueisha's web comic distribution site "Shonen Jump+." It tells the story of a spy man, an assassin woman, and a telepathic girl building a temporary family for their respective interests and confronting daily troubles. Broad media mixes are being developed, including TV anime adaptations, theatrical anime movie releases, stage plays, and game adaptations.
