Eri, the girl Deku rescued from the hands of Kai Chisaki, aka "Overhaul," the young head of the Shie Hassaikai in the "Hero Intern / Shie Hassaikai Arc" of the anime's Season 4, has grown into a high school student 8 years after Deku and his classmates graduated from U.A. High School. Having expressed a desire to sing as a child within the MHA story and seen carrying a guitar case with a smile in the final episode, she visits U.A. High School one day, depicting her journey toward pursuing her dream once again. Upon the fan book's release, this short story sparked a massive reaction among MHA fans and readers despite its brevity, and this anime adaptation features special direction, making it a must-watch, highly rewarding experience.
The special short "I am a hero too" will begin streaming on various video streaming platforms from midnight on August 3. Prior to its digital release, it will also receive advance screenings on August 1 and 2 in "Character Matchup Iconic Episode Screenings" held at 9 theaters nationwide as part of the 10th anniversary project: Vol. 2 Izuku Midoriya x Katsuki Bakugo and Vol. 3 Izuku Midoriya x Tomura Shigaraki.
