I'm Masumi Tazawa, and I'll be playing the role of Eliane. The way her expressions change so quickly and vividly is incredibly endearing, and I found myself completely absorbed in reading this story. But she's not just cute — her inner strength, which never gives in no matter how harsh her circumstances become, is also part of her charm, and I think that's exactly why everyone around her loves her. I'm truly happy to be able to play a character like Eliane. Please look forward to the broadcast!

My name is Taku Yashiro, and I'll be appearing in the role of Nigel. Reading this story, I found it both entertaining and satisfying to see how those around Eliane are influenced, for better or worse, by her abilities as a saint and by her personal character, and I'm truly delighted to be able to take part in this anime. I feel that Nigel is someone who genuinely stands by others, the kind of person who's beloved by his people, so I hope to play the characters in this story with love of my own.

Ever since that day, I've been thinking "this isn't a dream, is it?" in disbelief, while at the same time feeling a sense of "of course — this series is so popular," and I've spent my days both fidgeting with excitement as the character designer and feeling proud as a fan of the work, imagining Eliane and the others moving on screen as an anime. From Eliane's approachable cuteness to the swoon-worthy men like Nigel and the satisfying comeuppance the villains get, every element of this story is thoroughly entertaining, so please enjoy it to the fullest!! Congratulations on the anime adaptation of "Because I, the True Saint, was Banished, that Country is Done For!" As the artist handling the comic adaptation, I'm very happy to have been involved with this work. Imagining Eliane and the others talking and moving around in the anime makes me really excited. Going forward, I want to keep portraying what makes this story so good through the comic adaptation.

I felt this was a wonderful story depicting a protagonist who moves forward without being dragged down by negative emotions, no matter what situation she finds herself in. For the anime as well, I focused on portraying, in an enjoyable way, how Eliane — after being banished — regains her positive sense of self with the help of the goodwill of those around her. The entire staff is putting our best efforts into production so that even viewers encountering this story for the first time through the anime, without having read the novel or manga, will find it engaging.
