"Is Something Going On Between Mira-san and Laxus!?" FAIRY TAIL Sequel Starts Serialization; Fans Go Wild Over Hand-Drawn Relationship Chart Published by Hiro Mashima

Manga artist Hiro Mashima updated his X account to share a relationship chart ahead of the launch of FAIRY TAIL RE:FANTASIA, the official sequel to FAIRY TAIL, sparking widespread conversation.

Posting an image, Mashima wrote, "Fairy Tail starts tomorrow! For those who are new to the series, I drew a quick relationship chart. This is all you need to remember. Even if you don't know it, I made the series so you can enjoy the general vibe. Hope you all enjoy it!"

In the hand-drawn relationship chart, alongside the explanation "Fairy Tail is a Wizards' Guild!", the main character Natsu Dragneel (CV: Tetsuya Kakihara), who "uses Fire Magic," is placed at the center. Arrows point from Natsu to his partner Happy (CV: Rie Kugimiya), Lucy Heartfilia (CV: Aya Hirano) who is "close friends" with him, Gray Fullbuster (CV: Yuichi Nakamura) as his "rival," and Erza Scarlet (CV: Sayaka Ohara) who is labeled as "scary" and "transforms." On the other hand, an arrow extends from the "healer" Wendy Marvell (CV: Satomi Sato) toward Natsu, labeled "admires."

Furthermore, relationships among key characters are depicted, including Juvia Lockser (CV: Mai Nakahara) who "likes" Gray, Mirajane Strauss (CV: Ryoko Ono) who has a "former rival" relationship with Erza, Laxus Dreyar (CV: Katsuyuki Konishi) whom Natsu "wants to beat" while Laxus "acknowledges Natsu but finds him annoying," and Guild Master Makarov Dreyar (CV: Shinpachi Tsuji) who calls Laxus "grandson" and is called "gramps" in return. Additionally, a mysterious arrow marked with a "?" is drawn from Laxus toward Mirajane.

FAIRY TAIL is a battle fantasy story set in "Fairy Tail," a guild famous for housing wild wizards among the many wizard guilds around the world. Centering on Natsu, a wizard who uses Fire Dragon Slayer Magic, and the Celestial Wizard Lucy, it depicts them tackling various requests and incidents alongside their unique friends. Furthermore, starting in issue 35 of Weekly Shonen Magazine released on July 29, 2026, a short-term intensive serialization of the brand-new work FAIRY TAIL RE:FANTASIA has begun.
