"Did You Just Say 'Ed-san'?" Collaboration Talk Between Romi Park (Ed in "Fullmetal Alchemist") and Yume Miyamoto (Asa in "Daemons of the Shadow Realm")

Hearing Park mention that she's a shrine enthusiast and thus finds "Daemons of the Shadow Realm" super exciting, Miyamoto reacted, "I'm so happy to hear that! I'm going to take this story back with me to the recording studio!"

Continuing on about the "Fullmetal Alchemist" exhibits, Miyamoto shared, "Arakawa-sensei's original illustrations have a raw power that comes through in every single page. Especially with 'Fullmetal Alchemist' being such a long-running series, getting to see original artwork from the early chapters all the way to the end, and watching Ed-san's expressions become cooler and cooler..." Mid-sentence, Park teased her: "Did you just say 'Ed-san'? You can totally just call him Ed!"

During the talk, it was also revealed that Park and Miyamoto share the exact same birthday, January 22. Miyamoto admitted, "I kept wondering when to tell you, but I was just too nervous." Hearing this for the first time in surprise, Park reacted, "We have to host some kind of event on January 22nd then!"—drawing laughs from the audience.

Finally, when asked for a message to the fans, Park commented, "Please come with all the excitement you're feeling right now. The power of Sensei's original artwork can only be experienced in person, so please take a look with your own eyes at details like the pen pressure and the texture of the paper. You'll truly feel the energy that went into creating this work by Arakawa-sensei's hands."

Miyamoto concluded the event, saying, "I first learned about the exhibition when recording the narration for the commercial, and I was thrilled that 'Daemons of the Shadow Realm' and 'Fullmetal Alchemist' were collaborating. I'd be so happy if everyone enjoys 'Daemons of the Shadow Realm' right alongside 'Fullmetal Alchemist.'"
