"Their voices are exactly as I imagined!" Miku Ito and Miyako Nemoto Cast as Hinao and Char Kyonagi in the Kagurabachi Anime, Earning "Spot On" Praise from Fans

Additional cast members for the Kagurabachi TV anime have been announced, with Miku Ito playing Hinao and Miyako Nemoto playing Char Kyonagi. Character visuals and promotional videos (PVs) were also released. The voices of both characters have become a hot topic among fans, who are praising them as "exactly as imagined."

Kagurabachi is based on the manga series by Takeru Hokazono, currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. It is a neo-Japanese katana action story following the protagonist, Chihiro Rokuhira (CV: Taihi Kimura), who sets out on a path of revenge wielding the last Enchanted Blade left by his father, after his father was murdered and the other blades were stolen. The manga has surpassed 4 million copies in circulation, and the TV anime is scheduled to begin broadcasting in April 2027. Animation production is handled by Cypic.

Hinao, whose casting was announced this time, is a character who acts as a liaison at Cafe Haruharu, connecting sorcerers with clients seeking to borrow the power of sorcery. Char Kyonagi is depicted as a bright and brave young girl who, for a certain reason, finds herself on the run.

Alongside the cast reveal, comments were shared by both Ito and Nemoto. Reflecting on the voice recording sessions, Ito noted, "I tried not to be too tense and focused on giving a natural performance," expressing her enthusiasm by adding, "I want to perform in a way that makes Hinao's presence at Cafe Haruharu feel like a place of belonging in the anime as well." Nemoto revealed her reaction to getting the role, saying, "I unintentionally let out a massive shout and got gently scolded by the other staff members." Regarding the character of Char, she commented, "She's basically full of energy, and when Char isn't energetic, it makes the viewers feel sad too... she's a girl with that kind of charm."
