A TV anime adaptation of the manga The Failure at God School has been greenlit. Along with the announcement, a teaser visual featuring the protagonist Nagi, Tsukuyomi, and Tota was unveiled. Additionally, the anime's official X (formerly Twitter) account and official website have launched.
Written by Hyuganatsu (The Apothecary Diaries) and illustrated by Modomu Akagawara (My Brother's Friend), the original manga is currently serialized in Hana to Yume (Hakusensha). Set in modern-day Japan where gods exist, this spiritual school drama follows protagonist Nagi Hibiya—a misfit at the elite "God School"—as she unravels the hidden truth and the power slumbering within her.
The newly released teaser visual features the protagonist Nagi Hibiya—who attends "God School" despite lacking divine powers—at the center, alongside Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto (commonly known as Tsukuyomi), one of the country's highest-ranking gods, and Nagi's classmate Tota Eto, whose family runs a major shrine. Set against a grand torii gate with stone steps framed by vibrant red autumn leaves, the visual builds anticipation for their upcoming story. The series' official logo was also revealed.
To celebrate the anime adaptation, congratulatory comments have arrived from original author Hyuganatsu and manga artist Modomu Akagawara.
