"A lowly servant like you..." The pressure from his deep voice is off the charts! Shivers and a storm of praise for Jinshi's quiet rage in "The Apothecary Diaries"

His usual dazzling smile completely vanished, and viewers were left trembling at Jinshi's ice-cold severity in a particular scene. This was depicted in Episode 38 of the anime "The Apothecary Diaries," where Jinshi (CV: Takeo Otsuka) utterly shuts down the former head lady-in-waiting (CV: Hitomi Nabatame), who was tormenting Lishu (CV: Hina Kino), with an unarguable point.

Having entered the rear palace at a young age, Consort Lishu had been subjected to unfair treatment by certain malicious ladies-in-waiting. As she was shedding tears over a precious mirror that was a memento of her mother, the former head lady-in-waiting approached and scolded her, "What are you crying for? It is embarrassing in front of everyone." Furthermore, she said, "You already have the mirror given to you by the special envoy, so you surely do not need this one anymore," and attempted to confiscate it.

Unable to just stand by, Jinshi intervened. He warned her with a soft demeanor, "That is something very precious to Consort Lishu. I believe it is highly inappropriate to take it without even verifying what it is." He then touched the hairpin she was wearing. Pulling out the pin, which bore the crest of a high consort, he interrogated her in a low tone: "Was this also bestowed upon you? Even if it were a gift, for a lowly servant like you to wear an item bearing a high consort's crest... Did you not think it was above your station?" He coldly delivered a stern warning to ensure she would refrain from acting out of line in the future.

In response to Jinshi's genuine anger and his incredibly satisfying takedown, reactions flooded the internet with comments like, "It gives me chills no matter how many times I watch it," and "I got scared when his voice suddenly got so menacing." A chorus of praise also poured in with fans saying, "He's seriously so cool," and "That was so satisfying to watch!"
