Isn't Everyone a Little Too Stressed? Anime Chainsmoker Cat Episode 12 Synopsis and Advance Scene Cuts Revealed

The synopsis, advance scene cuts, and preview video for Episode 12, "Nya Still Smokes Even in the Finale, Nya," of the TV anime Chainsmoker Cat — currently airing on TOKYO MX, BS11, AT-X, and other stations — have been released.

The series is based on the manga of the same name by NyanNyanFactory, serialized in Kodansha's Young Magazine. Set in a world where humans and beast-folk coexist, it's a comedy about the laid-back but no-good daily lives of Yanineko (voiced by Yuko Natsuyoshi), a cigarette-smoking, aimless beast-person, and the cat-eared residents around her.

The TV anime Chainsmoker Cat has been airing since July 2026, on TOKYO MX and BS11 every Thursday at 24:30, and on AT-X every Saturday at 24:30 starting July 25 (with repeat broadcasts every Thursday at 28:00). It is also being streamed on Netflix and other platforms, with new episodes released every Thursday at 25:00 starting July 2.

Cancellations, firings, an unreasonable hole-digging part-time job… the residents are pushed to their limits one after another. Battered and bruised, Yanineko finally snaps at the carefree Landlord, and the fiercest catfight in the apartment's history — complete with flying microwaves — breaks out. Honestly, we're not entirely sure what we just described, either.
Isn't everyone just a little too stressed? Nothing much happens, but hey — everyone's still alive, so let's just call that a win.
