This is actually my very first time composing a score. I'm so glad my first one was for such a wonderful work!
I'm truly honored to have been able to color the world of The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy at All alongside the great songs I love and have listened to for so long!
The recording took place in Tokyo and LA. It was a raw and somehow nostalgic musical session, as if we had traveled back in time 20 years. I made it with great care while imagining the world of the original manga.

I had the privilege of composing the score for The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy at All.
When I read the original manga, it featured classic grunge rock songs that I myself had listened to,
and I was really happy to be able to make music for such a work.
Through recording sessions in Japan and LA, we built the world of the series together with the best music team.
I'd be delighted if you also enjoy the music that stays close to the characters' delicate emotions!

Kenjiro Tsuda as Joe

The mix of nostalgic rock and a new romance (or friendship?) story feels really fresh and fun.
The two clumsy people who can't communicate well with others are very cute,
and Joe, who watches over the two of them, is cute in a cool, understated way. I'm having fun being part of such a wonderful work.
Look forward to the broadcast!

Tasuku Hatanaka as Narita

I previously had the chance to record a drama CD for this series!
I'm incredibly happy to be playing Narita in the anime as well!
It's a light and stylish work, yet one with real depth and warmth.
The recording sessions were full of moments that deeply moved me.

Yurina Amami as Chizuru

I'm Yurina Amami, and I play Chizuru.
The best friendship and youth, born from meeting and connecting through music!
Joy and excitement, and the loneliness that suddenly creeps in. I cherished the feelings that arise in each of those moments.
At times delicate, and vivid.
Please pay close attention to everyone's many "sounds" and "colors" shown in the anime! Look forward to the broadcast!

Ai Fairouz as Mao

I'm Ai Fairouz, and I'll be playing Mao!
The struggle that comes from being yourself, and the struggle of continuing to hide your true self:
whichever you choose, it always comes with pain. But even so, there is always someone who sees you
and cares about you... It's a truly wonderful work that delivers that warm message.

Maiko Nomura as Kanna

I'm Maiko Nomura, and I'll be playing Kanna.
To Mitsuki and Aya, Kanna is a mature, cool senior in life whom they look up to a little.
This work is packed with heart-fluttering moments when you grow close to someone.
I'm already really looking forward to seeing how the music playing inside the two of them will be expressed in the anime!
