Anime 'FX Fighter Kurumi-chan' Episode 2: Kurumi's Slide Into Scumbag Behavior Shows No Sign of Stopping... Viewers React: "Such an Ungrateful Child" and "The Intense BGM Turned It Into a Horror Show, I Couldn't Take It"

Episode 2 of the FX (foreign exchange margin trading)-themed anime 'FX Fighter Kurumi-chan' has been airing in sequence since October 8. The downfall of protagonist Kurumi Fukuga (voiced by Aina Suzuki), who gets into ultra-high-leverage trading, left viewers stunned, with comments like "The way it depicts a person's fall is really brutal" and "What an ungrateful child, I don't even know what to say."

In Episode 2, "I'm Fine Because I Have Leverage ♪," Kurumi tries trading "AUD/JPY" on the recommendation of Mochiko Kogane (voiced by Asami Seto), an investing friend from university. AUD/JPY is the very pair that Kurumi's mother, Kozue (voiced by Mamiko Noto), traded when she lost 20 million yen in FX and lost her life, making it a fateful presence for Kurumi.

Even with such extreme leverage, things went well for a while. But the market dropped in a moment of weakness, and Kurumi was crushed, saying, "I messed up... I got totally greedy... I got carried away..." Still, Kurumi told themselves, "AUD/JPY is going to get interesting from here! I can feel it!" but the situation kept getting worse. Finally, with "The ultimate move! Borrowing money!" Kurumi reached for the cash hidden at home by father Ikuo (voiced by Hideo Ishikawa).

Like Episode 1, Episode 2 was a roller-coaster ride, and cries of horror poured in on social media: "So crazy it's crazy... and this is only episode 2...!" "The scary part is that they already resort to a move that's clearly out of bounds in episode 2," "The way it depicts a person's fall is really brutal, wow," "What an ungrateful child, I don't even know what to say," and "The intense BGM turned it into a horror show, I couldn't take it."
